For more than 17 years, the Greensboro Grasshoppers players and coaches have literally given the shirts off their backs for Pest Management Systems, Inc. (PMi) Jersey Night. This annual event raises funds to support Habitat Greensboro and the Greensboro Builders Association’s bi-annual Raising Roofs event. This year’s Jersey Night raised $10,777, bringing PMi’s overall total to more than $104,000 to support safe, stable, and affordable housing.

“Over the last 17 years, it has been a privilege to be able to partner with Habitat for Humanity and raise money to raise roofs through PMi Jersey Night. It is so important to us, as a team, as a company and as individuals to give back to our community through such a life-changing cause. Being able to make a difference through homes and hope gives us a purpose and a mission to continue to help each year for a wonderful organization. We are so grateful that this year was so successful as affordable housing is needed now more than ever! We raised over $10,000 through this event this year and now since we began this tradition we have raised over $100,000! We are so thankful to all those who donated and were a part of such a great evening for Habitat and we look forward to building that 65th house, together!” – Julie Tesh-Clark

Raising Roofs is a collaboration between the Greensboro Builders Association and Habitat Greensboro. With donations of time, money, and materials they have been able to build 64 homes. Builders, contractors, and suppliers graciously donate their time and materials to make this organization flourish. Sixty-four Habitat Greensboro homes means 64 families have the critical foundation that supports a family’s health, education, and financial well-being. Habitat Greensboro partners with each homeowner as they work toward owning their home. Builders, contractors, and suppliers generously donate time and materials to make Raising Roofs a huge success. Habitat’s vision is simple, a world where everyone has a decent place to live.  The next Raising Roofs will be scheduled in 2022.
