Habitat Greensboro Names New ReStore Manager

Naieem Amos knows every nook and cranny and about all essential services and operations of Habitat for Humanity’s two ReStores in Greensboro.

He should. As the ReStore’s new manager, Naieem has infused his infectious enthusiasm into every role he undertook during the past nine years. Working his way to the top from a part-time donation ambassador (truck driver), he gained insights into ReStore operations from working in every area: delivery/pickup, merchandising, warehouse, customer service, and sales.

Naieem’s holistic management perspective helps him guide a team of 11 sales and service associates at both locations – the recently refurbished 3826 West Gate City Boulevard and 2910 Lawndale Drive.

“Wearing an ever-present smile, Naieem lives Habitat’s mission of service, always attentive and ready to jump in no matter the task or situation,” said David Kolosieke, Habitat Greensboro president and chief executive officer.

A New Jersey native, Naieem came to the ReStore after working in various capacities in local hospitality and customer service positions when he and his family relocated to Greensboro. Here, he honed his professional interpersonal skills.

“In all I do for the ReStore, I see myself as a personal ambassador to our customers and the community, always mindful of living the values of Habitat in building a strong foundation of family, self-reliance, and providing affordable homeownership for qualified families,” said Naieem. “What better way for me to ensure our customers have the opportunity to help us help them build a better life for themselves, their children, and our community.”

The ReStores offer an ever-changing broad mix of new and gently used products including new bedding, gently used home furnishings — upholstery, dining room, area rugs, decorative accessories— appliances, building materials, paint, and other home goods. Business hours at the Gate City ReStore are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for building supplies on the warehouse side of the store and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the main retail showroom. For the Lawndale Drive store, business hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday.

Habitat Greensboro’s ReStores are dependent on the generous donations of home goods and building materials, with new and used appliances in high demand by customers. Revenues fund Habitat’s mission to provide safe, stable, and affordable homeownership for families in the Greensboro community.
