You’re probably aware of Habitat’s work to build new homes for hardworking families. Did you know that we also renovate and upcycle Habitat homes that have been returned? In every project, we use green building techniques every step of the way.
Raising Roofs is a partnership between the Greensboro Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro that takes place every other year. Five homes were built in the Quail Oaks subdivision in Greensboro. Each participating builder team is a member of the Greensboro Builders Association and will build a Habitat house from start to finish in just five days!
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro has been named a Home Innovation NGBS Green Partner of Excellence for 2014. Being one of only six Home Innovation’s green certification program residential home builders and the only Habitat affiliate to be recognized shows the commitment Habitat Greensboro has made to providing Habitat homeowners quality, affordable, energy efficient green built homes through third-party verification to the National Green Building Standard (NGBS).
