Playhouse Project

April 12-13 and October 18-19, 2024 | 3826 West Gate City Blvd.

Playhouses provide an imaginary world where kids can create make-believe scenarios that foster their development, leadership, and creativity! Often, “playing house” is the first time children start to think about what having a home means to them. Playhouse Project helps provide the children of Habitat Greensboro homeowner families the opportunity to play, dream, and plan for their future in their own playhouse!

This isn’t only a day to make a child’s dream come true. Your sponsorship benefits Habitat Greensboro’s affordable homeownership programs and services. It gives your team the chance to come together in a different space to learn from each other and create some magic!

THE BUILD

Playhouse Project is a one-day team-building event. Teams of 8-10 volunteers assemble and decorate durable playhouses which are gifted to children of Habitat Greensboro homeowner families.

All materials and tools are provided to each team. No experience is needed. Groups have the opportunity to design and paint the decoration based on the preferences of the child. A selection of basic paint colors will be provided. All your team needs to bring is your design and any other items to decorate your house!

BUILD TIME

Teams will build on April 12 or April 13 and then again on October 18 or October 19, from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm at our Gate City ReStore.

Or, let us bring the build to you! Volunteers may complete the project at your offices.
